Hi Kenton and Gillian,
The question in practice exam #5, question 53:
The patient felt abdominal pain, then had diarrhea with bloody stool and malign odor, burning sensation of the anus. He also had a high fever, abundant sweating. The fever did not reduce after sweating. They have no desire to drink, feel heavy body and extremities, distention on the chest and upper abdomen. The Western doctor diagnosed them with bacillary dysentery. What is your TCM pattern identification?
Damp-Heat in the Spleen
Large Intestine prolapse
Damp-Heat in the Large Intestine
Damp-Heat in the Liver and Gallbladder
The answer said: The patient has Large Intestine prolapse.
I think the answer should be Damp heat in the LI tho. I didn’t see any LI collapse in this case. There are more heat and damp symptoms in this case.
Thank you.
