Hi Everyone
I have been working within the child protection sector for over 15 years. The majority of that time was spent working alongside Children and Youth within the Foster Care system and Residential care. Practicing with a trauma informed and attachment lense has provided me with a deep understanding of the inner workings of complex trauma and the profound impact that has on one’s life. In search of my own healing I have found my intuition guides me to more spiritual and grounding practices such as being in nature rather than the practical techniques in modern social work frames works.
After having my daughter 2.5 years ago I have moved from Australia, where I spent 10 years, back to my home land in Canada BC. I have been feeling a deep calling towards my indigenous culture and that we are all inter connected not only towards each other but also towards rocks, trees, water and all nature. Which brings me to my starting point in herbalism. I am thirsty for knowledge and I’m still on a journey in discovery what my work life will look like after having my daughter, but I’m very certain that this course will unlock so many answers for me. I want to work within my community helping people become their own healers.
