Hi Anna, that’s a great question!

I believe the times of day theory would shift in a sense of climate and seasons enhancing disharmony in dominant doshas, but I don’t think this would mean that the whole clock would be different for folks living in North America.

For example, for a Kapha dominant living in the PNW during winter, will notice an imbalance sooner due to the climate being damp and cold.

For a pitta living somewhere quite hot, they will have to tend to their food and lifestyle, and emotions, a lot more during the summer months.

And for Vata living in Calgary, where it is cold and dry, during fall, this is the time that nourishment and grounding is extra important.

For folks in India, where it is warmer year-round, it may take more for a Vata dominant dosha to be in disharmony, whereas for Pitta dominants, it is much faster and more intense, especially during the hottest seasons.

Does this make sense? Let me know your thoughts!

Warmth,
Riley
