Hi Everyone. I’m Nancy and I live in Tsawwassen, BC. I work in the mental health field and also have been farming a small plot of leased land for the last several years. I am very interested in nature connection and the role that spending time in nature plays in our health, not to mention in developing values of land stewardship and deep connection to all living beings. I try to bring these values into my work in ecological farming and psychotherapy. I also just completed the PRCO Community Herbalism Certificate, which was such a great experience! I love working with medicinal herbs and the knowledge gleaned from my studies I am now applying in a new farm venture in which I am growing medicinal herbs for sale. First plants went in the ground last month and I am already harvesting calendula! The herbalism certificate included an introduction to holistic nutrition, which I found to be very complementary to my herbal studies. So, when this program became available online, I was very keen to learn more. I hope to apply what I learn to my own health and in my work with clients and customers.
